Mario "Perez Hilton" Lavandeira, a fat freak of nature who made a career publishing unfounded rumors of celebrities and drawing sperm and cocaine coming out of celebrities' mouths and nostrils on images stolen from bona fide photographers, has filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court against former publicist and blogger Jonathan Jaxson and 25 other unnamed bloggers for defaming him!
The lawsuit arises in part from Jaxson's claims back in February that Hilton asked him to send a video of Jaxson masturbating in exchange for celebrity tips and rumors that Jaxson could publish on his blog. Jaxson alleged back then that he sent in the masturbation video, but Perez never kept his end of the bargain. See this blog entry to refresh your memory! Boycott Perez Hilton favorite site Popcrunch.com is also named in the lawsuit.
In his complaint Perez asserts that Jaxson's claims "expose [him] to hatred, contempt, ridicule, and obloquy." HA HA HA HA. Obloquy, BTW, refers to "a state of disgrace resulting from public abuse." The fact is, people, that the scandalous accusations by Jaxson, whether true or not, did not hurt Perez Hilton's reputation. I mean, come on, WHAT REPUTATION??? That of being a defamer and a thief?
What really seems to have pissed Perez off is that on April 2, Jaxson posted Perez's private cell number on his blog, wishing Perez "a belated Happy Birthday" and encouraging people to call him up. The complaint alleges that 25 other sites and blogs also published Perez's number, resulting in Perez receiving "over one thousand calls on his private cell phone (which he also uses for business), causing Lavandeira to sustain extreme interference with his business, including the Website, and suffer a loss of productivity by virtue of having his cell phone ringing non-stop since the publication was made." HA HA HA. Put yourself in the shoes of a juror. Do you think Perez can prove any damages? If someone is trying to reach Perez for business and Perez's cell phone is busy, can;t they just call his manager (and mother), or EMAIL him, or FedEx him? Can't they wait a few hours until Perez gets a new phone number and has his assistant call everybody up to give them the new number? PUH-LEEZ. The only "damage" here was to Perez Hilton's ego.
That is just funny. Can celebrities sue Perez Hilton for the "extreme interference" with their business that they suffer when Perez publishes false rumors about them (ie., that they are gay). Can Barack Obama sue Perez Hilton for damaging his reputation, implying that he is a communist, a plagiarist, and associates with persons of ill-repute?
This lawsuit has no merit, and neither does Mario "Perez Hilton" Lavandeira.
It will be interesting, however, to see if the case moves forward because the defendants will be entitled to discovery of Perez's evidence, including his computers records. This will be necessary to determine if Perez really received Jaxson's masturbation video, and if the instant-message conversations published by Jaxson really took place. AND IT WILL BE FUNNY.

it's funny that he's upset that his cell number was posted considering he did the same thing with some of the bloggers at gawker when they posted his disgusting naked pics from his manhunt profile. he's vile and disgusting and getting what he deserves. he's wasting the court system's time. and again, here he calls it a waste of taxpayer dollars when police, etc are out escorting britney or lindsay. he's a twat and should rot in hell.

I'm no fan of perez hilton but
Jonathan Jaxson is a pathological liar (his latest is to claim to be dependent on xanax due to an assault in 2006. Funny how that never kept him from traveling until his attempted publicity stunt with Perez blew up in his face and he needed sympathy). He's an attention whore who will probably start whining about alleged anxiety attacks and other ailments just to gain sympathy out of this.
I hope they both end up broke nobodies out of this (JJ is already broke and a nobody, maybe Perez can join him).

I remember Perez a while back posting the home phone number of someone on his site and his visitors were leaving comments saying they just called the guy ragging on him.
And Perez also posted the names, addresses, and phone numbers of the Gawker staff. He's only doing this for attention and publicity and will be laughed out of court.

I am aware that Mario Lavandeira has become a public figure and therefore, an interesting business partner (money wise). I do not hate him personally but I believe that his business methods and public manipulation (of young women mainly) are unethical. He has become a sort of "bad boy" hero for those young people who think that he is somewhat cool!
I belong to the group of people who think that the respect of others is a virtue. Raising awareness among his young fan-base is my objective: it is not OK to publicly humiliate people on the bases that they are famous or gay, black, Latino or disabled.

Hello everyone, my name is Perez. I love to insult people I don't even know. I tell masses of people that women are whores and sluts and I have absolutely no proof to back my claims. In fact, most the things I say about people are untrue and fueled by my own self loathing and insecurities.I was made fun of a lot as a boy and have been so damaged I have to degrade others to feel better about myself. I like to have my producers of my show call Adrianne Curry and ask her to come on. I also like to have them tell her and her people that I am ready to bury the hatchet on tape. Adrianne declines due to not wanting to do it on camera at the time...so I then write more stupid shit about her on my blogs! That shows that I was really sincere, right? Or, was it because I wanted ratings from the girl I like to say no one cares about? I can say Adrianne is lying, but luckily she has a few e-mails saved from the initial contact from my show. I like to make fun of other people for how they look, act, or how big I think their star is. It's mainly to cover up for what a fucking joke I can be, seeing how I probably don't garner much respect from people for what I do. Maybe what I said would be funny if I wasn't so fucking mean!
